Yucatán (RRC): Autoridades federales y estatales capturaron en Mérida, Yucatán, a Enrique N. R., alias «El Fresa», presunto líder de una célula del Cártel del Pacífico (posiblemente vinculada al Cártel de Sinaloa) en Chiapas.
Se le considera uno de los principales generadores de violencia en la región norte y la zona de Los Bosques en ese estado, y era un objetivo prioritario para la justicia chiapaneca.
La detención ocurrió hoy en Mérida, sin reportes de enfrentamientos. Fue resultado de un trabajo coordinado entre el Ejército Mexicano, Guardia Nacional, Centro Nacional de Inteligencia (CNI), Fiscalía General del Estado de Yucatán, Fiscalía de Chiapas y la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Yucatán.
A “El Fresa” se le vincula directamente con el secuestro de R.C.L. en octubre de 2023, en un rancho de Chiapas. Según las investigaciones, «El Fresa» —un ganadero originario de Chiapas— llegó armado con cómplices, agredió a la víctima y la secuestró en una camioneta. Posteriormente, exigieron 5 millones de pesos a la familia vía telefónica. Además, se le acusa de extorsiones y otros actos de violencia que han azotado comunidades enteras.
El Gobierno de Chiapas agradeció públicamente la colaboración yucateca, destacando que esta detención representa un «golpe significativo» contra el crimen organizado en la región. Existe una detención previa de otro «El Fresa» (Rodolfo «N.») en septiembre de 2024 en Tonalá, Chiapas, por extorsiones relacionadas con el Cártel de Sinaloa, pero se trata de un individuo distinto.
Esta captura subraya la creciente coordinación interestatal contra el narcotráfico en el sureste de México, donde Chiapas ha visto un repunte en violencia ligada a disputas territoriales
