Tlaxcala (RRC): Francisco «Pancho» Pérez, mejor conocido como «Medio Metro de El Alto» o «El Medio Metro Original», un icónico bailarín y animador de la escena sonidera en Puebla, México, fue hallado sin vida.
Su fallecimiento ha conmocionado a la comunidad de los bailes populares en barrios como El Alto, Analco y La Libertad, donde era una figura carismática y amada por su energía en los eventos de cumbia y sonidero.
El cuerpo fue descubierto en una barranca o canal de aguas en la junta auxiliar de San Sebastián de Aparicio, al norte de Puebla, en los límites con Tlaxcala. Esta zona es considerada un «foco rojo» por los vecinos debido a la inseguridad, la acumulación de basura y la presencia frecuente de animales callejeros.
Vecinos alertaron al 911 alrededor de la mañana. Elementos de la Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC), paramédicos, policía estatal y la Guardia Nacional acordonaron el área.
La Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) de Puebla abrió una carpeta de investigación por homicidio doloso, aunque no se descarta un accidente (como atropellamiento). El cuerpo fue trasladado a un anfiteatro para necropsia y reclamación por la familia.
Ganó popularidad en redes sociales como TikTok y Facebook en 2023, donde se presentaba como «el famoso Medio Metro de Puebla». Defendió su nombre artístico registrándolo como marca ante imitadores en otros estados.
Era conocido por su estilo único de baile, su micrófono en mano y frases motivadoras que alentaban al público en fiestas populares. Su última publicación enfatizaba: «Yo soy el famoso, el original».
La FGE de Puebla actualizará pronto los resultados de la necropsia y avances en la investigación. Mientras tanto, la comunidad sonidera llora a un ícono que, con su estatura de «medio metro» y un corazón gigante, animó innumerables noches de fiesta. Descansa en paz, Pancho.
