CDMX (RRC): Las autoridades mexicanas reportaron un importante golpe contra la organización criminal venezolana Tren de Aragua. Omar García Harfuch, titular de la Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSPC), confirmó la detención de Nelson Arturo «N», alias «Nelson», identificado como el principal operador de esta banda en México, junto con dos de sus colaboradores directos. La captura ocurrió en la Ciudad de México (CDMX) y representa un avance significativo en la lucha contra el crimen transnacional.
Los tres detenidos enfrentan una orden de aprehensión por trata de personas y delincuencia organizada. Además, se les vincula directamente con: Feminicidios (Nelson «N» es señalado como autor intelectual y material de varios casos), homicidios, secuestros y extorsión, narcomenudeo (venta de narcóticos).
La célula actuaba en estados como Puebla, Morelos y Estado de México, así como en diversas alcaldías de la CDMX. Se dedicaban a actividades como el cobro de piso, explotación sexual y control de rutas de migración.
Durante el operativo, se aseguraron evidencias como dosis de droga, armas de fuego y dispositivos electrónicos, aunque los detalles completos aún se investigan.
El Tren de Aragua es una de las organizaciones criminales más peligrosas originarias de Venezuela, surgida en las prisiones del estado de Aragua alrededor de 2014. Bajo el liderazgo de figuras como «Niño Guerrero» (Héctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores), se ha expandido a nivel transnacional, aprovechando la migración venezolana hacia países como Colombia, Perú, Chile, Estados Unidos y México.
En México, su presencia ha crecido en los últimos años, enfocándose en trata de personas, extorsión y narcomenudeo, especialmente en zonas fronterizas y urbanas como CDMX y Chihuahua.
En EE.UU., el gobierno de Donald Trump ha designado al Tren de Aragua como Organización Terrorista Extranjera desde febrero de 2025, con recompensas de hasta 12 millones de dólares por sus líderes.
